Born and raised in Milano, Paola Warfield received her M.A. in Political Science, with an emphasis in International Relations, from the Università degli Studi di Pavia. During her academic studies she was awarded an EU scholarship to study International Relations at The University of Leicester in the UK, and later was awarded a Columbus Exchange scholarship to work on her thesis research at The City University of New York - Hunter College. Prior to joining The George Washington University in 2011, Paola taught Italian for four years at Parliamo Italiano Language School in New York (later acquired by Hunter College) and for seven years at Istituto Italiano Scuola, affiliated with the Italian Cultural Institute of San Francisco, where she also served as Assistant Director.
