Dr. Darío Lizancos Robles is a native of Granada, Spain. He completed his Ph.D. in Hispanic Linguistics with a focus on SLA (Second Language Acquisition) at the University of Georgia in 2022. His main areas of research are second language fluency, language acquisition in the immersion context, phonetics and phonology, and foreign language pedagogy. In addition to teaching, Darío is very passionate about experiences abroad. His dissertation focused on fluency gains made by study abroad participants in Spain. Darío is the co-founder and president of Beyond Language Immersion, a nonprofit organization providing language immersion programs in Granada, Spain.
