Allison Caras earned her Ph.D. in Spanish Applied Linguistics from Georgetown University, where she also received her M.S. She holds a Graduate Certificate in Spanish Translation from American University and a B.A. in Sociology from Gettysburg College. Her research and curricular interests include instructed language learning, task-based and task-supported curriculum design and development, written corrective feedback, and depth of processing. Her research on these areas has been published in the refereed journal Studies in Second Language Acquisition and Routledge’s forthcoming Handbook of L2 Processing and Processes in Instructed Language Learning.
